Reliance Jio will be available to all from September 5
The service will be free for all until the end of 2016

At
the Reliance AGM taking place in Mumbai, Chairman Mukesh Ambani just
announced the launch of the Jio network, and its incredibly low Jio 4G
tariffs - just Rs. 50/ GB, which will go down to Rs. 25, if your usage
is higher.
Reliance Jio will launch for all users on
Monday, September 5, and Ambani stated that it will be free for all
users until the end of this year, December 31, 2016.
Talking
about how India is used to the idea of "Gandhigiri", Ambani added, "now
let us see what people do with 'datagiri'," and announced that Jio data
will be completely free to use until December 31, 2016. At the same
time, the various Jio apps and services will be free to use until
December 2017, and voice calls are going to be completely free.
At
the AGM, Ambani had talked about how data is oxygen in the modern
world, and stated that for the success of digital India, data has to be
made affordable to users. Acording to Ambani, Jio will cover 90 percent
of the population by March 2017, and in the meantime, it will be offered
completely free - something that will also help to test interconnects
with other networks, Ambani said.
